“Through our caring presence, we keep announcing that sacred truth: Dying is not a sweet, sentimental event; it is a great struggle to surrender our lives completely…. To stand by a person who is dying is to participate in the immense struggle of faith.  It is a struggle no person should take on alone…
Together we can create that place where our dying friends can feel safe and can gradually let go and make the passage knowing they are loved.”

The Greatest Gift
